What Causes Pain In The Sole Of The Foot Radiating To The Heel?

I have pain on the bottom of my right foot. It is located on the bottom, outer boney area , and radiates back to my heal. The onset was taking a step up and started with a sharp pain in the center bottom of my foot. Thank you very much; but I don t want to put any credit card information online.

Hi,

According to your complain you have problem of heel pain that may be because of of planter fasciitis problem. If pain occurs at central part of heel may be because of planter calcaneal bursitis.

Detail history and physical examination give exact idea about problems. Dorsiflexion limited in planter fasciitis. X-ray of foot helpful for further diagnosis. Take complete rest till pain decrease. Put your leg inside warm salt water. Orthopaedic devices help in planter fasciitis. Steroid injection can use at last if drug not work. Consult a physician for further diagnosis.

I hope my guidance helpful to you. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rachana Goswami
