Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yes. The bottom of my foot hurts. In the morning when I get up I can not put pressure on it for a while. There is a pain running through it all during the day. Also recently I lost the toe nails on both feet. The same toe, which is the toe next to my big toe. Not sure what the connection is. I have not seen a doctor about it yet.
Your toe nails must be having fungal infection, and that could be the reason it got avulsed and came off. This of-course is different from the plantar fasciitisfeet pain you are experiencing. Management of this is to wear soft, pressure distributing insoled foot wear at all times. Also there are plantar fascia stretching exercises, which you can do morning and evening, and in 4 to 6 weeks time, you will be completely relieved off this pain. It is good that you consult podiatrist, who can explain first hand how to do the plantar fascia stretching exercises, and also advise you on the toe fungal ,infection.
