What Causes Pain In The Stomach And Back When Diagnosed With Gallstones?

I have sharp, constant back pain that strikes in the middle of the night when my stomach is burning. I have tried a bland diet, but it does not make a difference. The duration and the intensity of pain varies. CT scan and ultrasound found gall stones, but the provider said that the pain could not have been related to gall stones. I still have this random pain, which only happens at night. What is this?

It may be due to gallstones itself or pancreatitis secondary to gallstones. Consult a gastroenterologist and he will direct you accordingly
