Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have pain in my stomach, back, like that which I would normally think of as GERD. I have taken Tums and Zegerid. It leaves for a few moments, then comes back. No pain in throat. I have had more of the stomach pain lately, but this is the first for it being also in the back. I am not being treated for GERD.
Your symptoms seem to be related to GERD. I suggest using antacids such as Maalox three times a day. I also suggest using Omeprazole 20 mg daily in the morning and evening. I recommend to use a spasmolytic to relieve temporarily the stomach pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
