What Causes Pain In The Testicle And Lower Right Pelvis Area?

Hey doc, For the past couple of days I ve had a pain/discomfort in my testicle and lower right pelvis area. I ve tried to look into it online and haven t found anything. No abnormalities or lumps that I could find. I m just curious as to what you think could be the cause, if there is any and whether or not I should go see a doctor in person. I dont think there is any correlation but a couple of years ago I had to have my left testicle removed due to torsion, but the surgeon secured my other testicle so it couldn t happen twice. Thanks!

Hi,

Noted your history of removal of left testicle for torsion and now you have pain in right testicle and right lower pelvis/abdomen.
Surely yes, if the right testicle was secured torsion may not happen after a couple of years.
The possibility can be an infection in the urinary tract and thus in prostate, seminal vesicles and by retrograde way to epididymis and testes causing all the symptoms that you have.
This can be easily diagnosed by the following ways.
Consult an Urologist or your Doctor for clinical examination, per-rectal digital palpation for prostate and seminal vesicles.
Tests of Urine for routine, microscopy, culture and sensitivity before starting antibiotic.
Tests of blood.
Ultrasound of abdomen and scrotum along with color doppler of the scrotum
All these things will give an appropriate diagnosis.
Antibiotic cover for UTI can help to cure your problems.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
