I have a sharp pain that shoots to my left testicle when I apply pressure on my left leg, for example, when i step out of the shower and use my left leg first. The pain also appears when I m laying on my back and i rotate my left leg in clockwise motion or turn my knee inward toward my right knee. I ve had the pain for a few years now but the pain seems to be getting worse. The first doctor I visited a few years ago had an ultrasound performed and discovered I suffered from varicoceles. He concluded form the ultrasound and the varicoceles that I needed a vasectomy. I couldn t accept his solution without further tests. Since the pain wasn t depilitating I put it off for a few years until recently, as the pain began to worsen. I went to another doctor under the suspicion that I might have an inguinal hernia. The doctor reassured me that it wasn t a hernia and referred me to the previous doctor I had already seen. I decided to go to a different doctor (urologist) with more confidence because now I was more informed. The 3rd doctor performed a digital examine but found nothing abnormal. He suspected prostatitis and prescribed and antibiotic (bactrim 800mg). I was eager to began the treatment but lost confidence in the doctor because he suggested that I only take it for 7 days. It was because of the research I had been doing on the subject that I knew 7 days was not enough time to yield any significant results, so I changed doctors again. The 4th doctor put me on the same antibiotics, suspecting it might be prostatitis or epididymitis. This time the dosage was for 30-35 days and after that he would perform a PSA test. He informed me that if my PSA levels checked out normal that removing my epididymis would be the next most likely option. There s no improvement in my condition, in fact it has gotten worse. I haven t had the PSA test done yet but I don t believe anything negative will show. I m tired of changing doctors and I was wondering if there are any other possibilities that I might be able to persuade my present doctor in to considering, like a pelvic floor examination without undermining his expertise?
