What Causes Pain In The Thighs And Feeling Of Heaviness In The Stomach?
Hi ...I was diagnosed with pcos and my insulin and proloactin levels are not normal. They are 30.9 and 60 respectively. My doctor put me on glucophage and dostinex respectively from may 19 2016. I got my periods on may 26th 2016 and was expecting my periods on june but still hasn t come. I understand that my cycles would not be regular all of a sudden but I am expecting the cycle span to reduce gradually. I have pain in my thighs and feel heaviness and fullness in my stomach now . I just want to ask is my abnormality so difficult to cure . Will i be able to conceive at least my next year .
There are treatment options available for PCOS, response varies from one person to the next. Treatment involves:
(1) weight loss of any excess weight
(2) the medications that you are currently using
(3) there are also medications that help with ovulation (release of the eggs from the ovaries)
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
