Wens. morning when I woke up I went to stand up and the room started spinning. It s been happening every since and instead of just in the morning it is all the time. I started drinking a lot of water last night and today I have drank about 70 ounces. Plus I drank most of a Gatorade for electrolyte replacement. Now my legs, up thighs are aching.

Hi.

Your history states that you got vertigo in the morning after getting up from bed, legs and thighs aching, had plenty of oral fluids and Gatorade yesterday.
Since the history is interlinked I would advise you the following:
Consult your Doctor to see clinically if the drinking of fluids and Gatorade yesterday is linked to today's symptoms and get the blood tests done, particularly the serum electrolytes to know whether the imbalance of electrolytes has caused the symptoms. Also go for the other tests like CBC, Kidney and liver functions.
Clinical evaluation for Vertigo and proper medications for the symptomatic relief as well as for the pains.
If a specific cause is found then it can be treated accordingly.
Vertigo can be due to insufficiency of blood to brain due to cervical spondilitis compressing the vertebral artery.
Viral infection can cause similar symptoms. You Doctor will help you further by an appropriate investigations and management.
Take care.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
