What Causes Pain In The Thighs Upon Laughing?

I have a pain in the thigh when I laugh and when I am in the toilet trying to push poo. but I also feel it on the hip join and on the lower front part of my leg with a burning sensation. I have felt this pain for the past two months now. when it started it was very intense but now it is decreasing. was once on prednisolone but have since stopped taking any pain killers because I felt it was too much for me. I felt the tablets would do more harm on my body

Thanks for contacting with your health concern

1. As I'm unable to directly examine you nor able to take detailed history thus it is wise to check with your doctor or orthopedic surgeon for any underlying medical issue.

2. It can be 'meralgia paresthetica' [due to compression of femoral cutaneous nerve in the thigh] and line of treatment is painkillers and anti-inflammatory medications [steroids are also given], so along with this physical therapy is also helpful

PS. please make an appointment with your doctor and get it managed accordingly to the diagnosis arrived.
