Hi.
So to hear about your problem. As per your description , i might need some more info like your age, duration of the complaints, your smoking and drinking habits as well as some sexual history might also be required . Here are few lines that might help you understand what is basically wrong.
First if you are not too much old (i means to say less than 40years of age ) and you do not smoke and drink then you need to have minimal worries about having an oropharangeal cancer.
Secondly if the problems are short lived or recurrent then you might think about infectious or inflamatory conditions of this region like pharyngitis, adenoids or otitis. In this case all you need to do is to visit an ENT doctor near you and get a laryngoscopy done. This can help in making a clear diagnosis.
Lastly if nothing pathalogic turns out after ENT evaluation then some time people may have a psychologic condition in which they feel the presence of a lump in throat when actually there is none. In that case a psychologist may be helpful. If you have any further questions you can ask me . Regards
I find this answer helpful
