What Causes Pain In The Throat?

Last night at dinner I was eating my meal which was rice and fish (I forgot what kind of fish) While I was eating my mum came home from the parlor with a take out from hardees. I quickly took the burger which was wrapped in foil. I took a big bite and a spoonful of rice from my meal. Moments later I felt pain on my throat. I thought it was a fish bone and I tried eating rice to push it down cause this happened before but It didn t work. I told my mum it hurts really bad and we tried massgaing it down, eating banana without chewing it and drinking lots of water. Mum suggested to let me sleep hoping it would go away tomorrow. I slept early and woke up with the same pain. I m really scared it might leave a scar or wound on my throat. What should I do?

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern.

Some times because of the injury to the throat, it looks like something is stuck there but it is not like that. May be some sharp Bony edge may have bruised the food pipe (esophagus) and went to stomach.

You need to visit a doctor ENT specialist if it looks like in upper portion of throat or Gastroenterologist if it is down food pipe.
You may need an x ray to be done too to get better diagnosis if there is really something stuck.
