What Causes Pain In The Thumb And Fingers?

60 yr old female, been typing my entire career...noticed pain in my thumb, my other fingers ache and now I have a bulge below my middle finger between my love and life lines on my palm. I chalked it up to carpal tunnel syndrome, but just read here that it may be attributed to Dupuytren s Contracture?? Worried, should I have it checked immediately, is this a form of arthritis??
