What Causes Pain In The Upper Abdomen And Dizziness?

Hi, my daughter, 18 is experiencing stomach pain in the higher abdominal area. She is nauseous, dizzy and has thrown up four times in the past two and a half hours. She has now taken anti-nausea meds and 500 gm tylenol for Pain. Still complaining of sharp pain high up on top of her stomach. She has food allergies but her throat and tongue are not swollen and don t seem to bother her. Given her ice water and she requested some Gatorade. ALso had a small, amount of chicken soup. Low grade fever, pale skin tone, is lying down but very uncomfortable to lie on her side. So, what else could we try?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As first-line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persists better to consult a general surgeon and plan for an ultrasound scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
