What Causes Pain In The Upper Abdomen Between The Ribs?
I ve been having upper abdominal pain right between the ribs at the sternum or just below not hart burn but pain also can t eat as much as I used to and I have the taste of blood in my mouth almost constantly... less freguently I have had dizzy spells and sharp pains in my back between the shoulder blades... please help
Looking at your description, chest pain between ribs, shoulder blades and dizzy spells might be related to serious underlying heart disease like angina or myocardial infarction. Another possibility is GERD, acute gastritis and high blood pressure. In my opinion you should immediately rush to emergency room for recording of Blood pressure, ECG and cardiac markers to rule out heart disease first which could be catastrophic of not managed in time.
If possible take sorbitrate and put it underneath your tongue and take antacids.
Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to ask for follow up question I will gladly answer you.
Regards, Dr. BR Hudda
