What Causes Pain In The Upper Abdomen?

Hi, my upper abdomen(stomac area) hurst while eating. The pain can be described as stabing, almost breathtaking while eating. After eating pain is less and a bit heartburn and burps. No diaree or vomiting or fever. 3 days ago I eat, strawberries, tuna and some hot chicken. Any idea what I have? Yesterday(2day) was worse, today(3day) is less intense but still causing discomfort while eating.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
The pain in upper abdomen starting with eating spicy food like hot chicken & tuna...has caused irritation of stomach lining ( mucosa)... resulting in inflammation & pain Gastritis.. releaved by eating.
Avoiding spicy food, fasting & taking sips of cold milk / bland food in small multiple servings would help, Over the counter Gelusil tablets ..2 tabs sucked three times a day would help.
No releaf demands consultation of gasteroenterologist,
Thanks
