What Causes Pain In The Upper Abdomen?

I have a horrible burning pain in the middle of my upper stomach going to the left side. I went to the hospital and they took an ultrasound of my stomach and saw nothing. They gave me acid pills. My pain is always still there and it s going to my back now. I want to heal it on my own since going to the doctor did not rule out anything. My pain is still there and it really hurts. Helps what to do to get better
