Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had pain in upper back head fog dizzy and off balance since a back adjustment at physio with massage therapist. I couldn t get off talk and then they put me in traction so I was able to make it home. I was in auto accident last Sept but feel like I am getting worse instead of better. I was rear ended. the head fog dizziness , have been much mor noticeable since treatment about two weeks ago. feel like I will fall over if not careful. had a MRI done ,waiting for results.
Your symptoms are suggestive of cervical spondylosis. Cervical spondylosis occurs due to degeneration of cervical disc. It can be due to injury or age related. Confirmation of diagnosis requires MRI scan of the cervical spine. Treatment is with physiotherapy, pain medications, steroids and surgery if everything else fails. Please be advised to follow-up with an orthopedican for further evaluation and management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal
