What Causes Pain In The Upper Chest, Back And Neck While Having Asthma?
I am 56 year old female in excellent health and per my doctor low risk for heart disease. Experiencing dull pain in upper chest center and upper back and neck. Dull type not sharp. I lift weigts regularly. I also have very controlled asthma. Had pain for about 24 hours. Not in my arms at all and no problems breathing. Thoughts
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM There are many medical conditions that may give you the symptoms you describe.Possible causes may include: -Digestive problems like heartburns, swallowing disorders with oesophagus, Gallbladder and pancreas problems -Injuries and other problems affecting the structures that make up the chest wall like Costochondritis, Sore muscles from weight lifting/Injured ribs -Other causes like panic attacks and shingles. -Heart related causes may be less likely as per your Doctor and lungs related problems like pleuresy less likely as no respiratory symptoms like cough. I will suggest you take a pain drug like aceclofenac, rest well and observe.If pains persist, you see your Doctor for evaluation and an X ray if need be. Hope this will help Best regards
