What Causes Pain In The Upper Left Thigh After Removal Of Baker S Cyst?

Hi I had a bakers cyst removed from behind my left knee a week ago.The Doctor gave me a steroid injection at the time of the procedure. As I was sitting on the couch tonight I had a shooting pain in my upper left thigh going from my thigh to just below my groin area. I would say at the time it was at a pain level of a 10. After the pain subsided some I was able to walk a little. I have it elevated now and seemed to be relieved of some of the pain. Still a dull pain now
