Hi. I woke up yesterday and noticed my vagina stings when being touched. It didn t hurt when i pee but when i wipe it feels raw and irritated. When i had sex with my boyfriend later that day my vagina bled. Is this normal? Is there something wrong with my vagina?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HCM

The pain and bleeding are suggestive of a vaginal infection. I recommend that you undergo vaginal swab microscopy and culture to rule out infection. (bacterial/fungal/parasitic). Treatment will depend on the type of infection.
Please be advised to follow up with your gynecologist for necessary evaluation.
Meanwhile, you can take Tylenol for pain.

Hope this answers your question
Please let me know if you need further clarifications
