What Causes Pain In The Windpipe While Taking Deep Breaths?
Hello, Few days ago I took shower at 4AM with cold water its start of winter here and then after 30 mins I put my fan on, tomorrow morning I took cold juice as my breakfast within no time I feel pain when I deep breath the pain is in my trachea only when I deep breath. I don t use any cold now, I use green tea with lemon. So my question is how can I feel better and what causes can be so I can avoid in future, I do have cough but very little only when I deep breath, the voice is fine. Thanks
I think you might have gotten cold due to exposure to cold. This is associated with inflammation/irritation of respiratory pathways. Should avoid exposure to cold temperatures. Rest more. Take plenty of fluids (water, tea, juice).
Take paracetamol for the pain. If no improvement or symptoms will get worse, should see your physician as might need prescription meds.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
