What Causes Pain In Throat While Laughing Or Singing?
The right side of my throat hurts when I laugh, or I m overly vocal in some way...singing etc. The pain is not like a regular sore throat that would coincide with an average cold, or something like that. I first noticed the pain in the car, while singing loudly to a song about a month ago. My first thought was that I had strained my vocal chords and that I should give them a break...I did. I ve now noticed this pain more so while I m laughing and it doesn t seem to be getting better, or showing signs of relief. The pain is not present while silent...but if I swallow I sometime notice a lesser discomfort in that same deep right area of my throat. I haven t noticed a fever.
Hi, A mild throat pain during swallowing, singing etc. That's your problem, right? I think you might be having some low grade laryngopharyngitis or even might be some sore lymph nodes in the neck causing pain during movements of throat. Try warm saline gargles and relative voice rest. Don't shout or whisper. Speak slowly in a medium voice. Sip lukewarm water in between.
