Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My thumb recently started to hurt at the joint when I bend it forward or backward. I noticed it a few days ago. Upon waking up my thumb was hurting and was stuck in place. I couldn't move it at first, then i had to force it forward then back. I could hear it, (more like feel it) pop when I moved it. What is this and what can I do about it. Oh, and the thumb on my other hand has the same problem, just not a severe. Thanks YYYY@YYYY
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, arthritis of small joint may be likely, initially this can be treated with the following medicines if this persistence then this may need some investigation for right diagnosis, 1) Tab Diclofenac 50 mg once in day hope this information helps, take care have a nice day.
One thing I did not notice in your question was your age. Your symptoms are characteristic of specific types of arthritis. Please consult an orthopaedic surgeon or a rheumatologist
