What Causes Pain In Tip Of Urethra After Urination And After Using A Condom?

Hello, I have been experiencing pain in the tip of my urethra after urination and sometimes during erection after using a condom for about a week now. I have read that this is common if the condom contained spermicide, but will this go away on it s own or should I see a doctor?

Hello and thanks for writing.

I can understand your concern and would try to help you in the best possible way. You problem could be due to allergic or contact dermatitis due to latex condoms. It is a benign condition and usually goes away on its own. Avoid latex condom use.
If you are having itchiness, rashes, disharge from the are ten it is a time to see a doctor l. You should also consult you GP to discuss about alternate modes of contraception.
