What Causes Pain In Toe After Hitting Teeth Of Dog With Toe?
Hi there doc... Good day.. my situation is that I accidentally hit the teeth of the dog in my toe.. I feel pain but when I check its only a scratch I see white mark on it.. and it never blood even I put pressure on it.. but im worry cause this dog dont have vaccines. . What should I do?
Dear Friend Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern. Even a scratch by a dog's can give you rabies. It is low risk , Category 1 exposure , but risk is definitely there specially of it is a street dog. I would suggest you not to take any chance , you should receive vaccination. Don't wait. Immediately go for a medical help. Get vaccinated. If the dog has high risk behavior , you may also discuss about immunoglobulin s with your doctor. Hope it helps you. Stay Healthy
