Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain In Upper Arms Post Heart Valve Replacement?
Both my upper arms hurt when I try to lift arms above elbow height. I recently had a heart valve replacement as I had infective endocarditus with vegetation which caused mini strokes, which caused loss of muscle power in my legs and lower body which meant I had to learn to walk again. My upper arms actually hurt, it s not muscle weakness.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, not to move upper arm (weakness) and difficulty in moving arm and causing pain are two different conditions one is due to cerebral pathology and second is due to musculoskeletal condition here in your case it could be due to muscular condition and it can be managed with Tab Chlorzoxazone with Acetaminophen hope this information helps
