What Causes Pain In Upper Back While Taking Deep Breath?
i have a sharp pain on the right side of my upper back when i take a deep breath in. i haven t worked out in 2 weeks and i don t remember lifting any heavy objects or doing a bad gesture. i don t know if its my gall gallbalder or a muscle. i got lab work done to see if there is a blood clout in my lungs but have not yet herd from my doctor.
This could be due to some inflammation in you ribs that is causing this much trouble while taking breaths. This could also be due to lung, heart and stomach problems as well. I suggest you to seek proper medical attention that might includes further testing and necessary treatment if needed after your careful assessment. Meanwhile, take over the counter NSAIDs for your pain relief.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Sameen Bin Naeem, General & Family Physician
