What Causes Pain In Vagina During Intercourse Post Hysterectomy?
I had a complete hysterectomy in 2006 and haven t had sexual intercourse prior to 2000. I am now involved with someone but actually trying to insert anything in my vagina is painful and it is very tight. I don t know why as I have not had issues before.

Hi there...post hysterectomy since the area above the vaginal apex... might hurt during intercourse. Perhaps your gynae can suggest a nerve block there. Because of the removed uterus and other anatomical structures filling its space some discomfort might occur. If its lack of lubrication or dryness thats causing the problem ... artificial lubricants can be tried........ try these measures they should help. take care
