What Causes Pain In Veins Post Plasma Donation?

Hi. I am Jessica. I am 18. I recently donated plasma and they had problems with the flow in my veins. It hurt really bad and on the return cycle there was pressure. They kept saying something about "hem," which I know is blood and I don't know to what they were referring to. I simply want to know why my veins and arms are hurting so badly. All along my arm where my vein lies there is a bruise. Could you answer what happened?

Thank you for posting your query in Healthcaremagic.

First of all i do not think there is anything to worry regarding your plasma transfusion and your bodyache.I would like to know are you healthy enough to give plasma to anyone,did you get tested before doing it.if so then i hope you had a standard amount of hemoglobin in your body.Your arm pain might just be due to the needle and pulling out of blood from your body.I dont think there is anything to worry.

Just take rest and you will be fine
