What Causes Pain Inside The Vagina Along With Brown Discharge?
I am having pain even with just a little pressure inside my vagina. It s not just the vaginal wall it s the entire area just as u enter the vagina. Brown or old blood discharge, not a lot but enough for me to be very concerned. I am 46 years old....what could be wrong??

Since you are experiencing pain and itching in the vagina it can be due to infection, UTI, bacterial vaginosis, bacterial yeast infection, etc. Other medical conditions that can cause similar symptoms are (STIs) that lead to brown spotting or bleeding. Some infections, such as gonorrhea or chlamydia should be tested. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP. Get blood workouts, urinalysis (R/E and C/S) and required imaging tests done.
You will have to get STD tests done, if tests are positive you will be treated with antibiotics and antivirals. If its UTI, you will be treated accordingly. You are suggested to avoid sex for a couple of days if sexually active. Take care of your personal hygiene, avoid douching. Wear cotton clothes. Do not use public wash rooms.
