What Causes Pain Near The Groin Area Upon Walking After Hip Surgery?

Hi, I was hit by a car while on my bicycle. I had a dual hip surgery were I had screws placed on the acetabulum area in both sides of my hips. Now every time I walk I have sharp pains in the area where the upper thigh and pelvic area near my groin (a few inches away from the groin area is). The pain is always there when I walk only. Can you tell me what is wrong?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It is the underlying compression of certain nerve structures or ligament stretch via weight baring position. An X-ray with or without CT scan is best option to diagnose and treat accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
