What Causes Pain Near The Heart For A 10-year-old?
My son is ten. He has not been sick. He woke up with pain near his heart and down his side. He played in a soccer tournament all weekend so we thought it was a pulled muscle. Now he says he hurts to take a deep breath, especially when laying down. He has the heating pad on it currently.
Hi...Can understand your concern.. As per your query about pain near heart sides downward is looking like a muscular pain due to inflammation of muscles and cartilages .Analgesic like ibuprofen syrup can be given along with topical application of diclofenac gel..for 3-4 days but if he is having severe pain or if no relief seen you should consult a pediatrician and any heart abnormality can be ruled out..I hope the information helps you...You are welcome on HCM for any further query....Take care.
