About 4 months ago I suddenly started to have pain, numbness, swelling, and severe stiffness in my hands and feet every morning. I wake up to use the bathroom and have to duck-walk to the bathroom because my feet won t bend, and then have trouble pulling off the toilet paper because I can t bend my fingers. I am a 57 yr old female, 5 ft 4, weight 180 lbs. I had Polymyalgia Rheumatica in 2012-2013 and was treated with Steroids and recovered. I had kidney cancer 20 years ago and had my left kidney removed. I had a left lumpectomy in 2011 for breast cancer along with chemo and radiation. I was diagnosed with a Basel cell skin cancer lesion that was removed in 2015. I am on Morphine, Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, Gabapentin, Celebrex, and Cyclobenzaprine for a failed 5 level fusion back surgery in 2013. I m also on Exemestane for breast cancer prevention, Losartan Potassium for high blood pressure, Quetiapine Fumarate to help me sleep, Omeprazole and Dexilant for GERD, and Duloxetine for Depression as well as a multi-vitamin and Calcium. I had a gastric bypass in 2002. I ve had osteo-arthritis since I was 42. What could be causing this? Could I be having a relapse of the Polymyalgia Rheumatica even though I had an atypical diagnosis (blood tests were never conclusive that I had the illness although the treatment worked).
