What Causes Pain On Left Leg And Knees While Suffering From Fibromyalgia?
I had an injury to the left side of my body about 35 years ago. Through the years, it seems to show up more and more. Sometimes my legs and knees start hurting and then I have a hard time walking right. I do have Fibromyalgia also. And I notice the problem after I ve done a lot of walking in stores and going downstairs and upstairs. Just wondering what to do as sometimes I can hardly walk.
The fibromyalgia indicates chronic pain condition of multiple body parts particularly involving muscles of limbs. Guidelines for better recovery: - Assisted physiotherapy - Aerobics and allowable exercises till pain threshold level - Use of Non steroidal anti inflammatory medications with antacid - Control of stress and anxiety - Regular sleep cycle maintenance - Control of blood sugar and lipid levels - Maintain body weight as over weight will increase the issue intensity
Regular visit to same consultant on periodic basis is key to success.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
