What Causes Pain On Right Side Of Neck And Ear?

I have had pain on my right side of my neck/throat & now in my right ear for the past 6 days. The pain started off dull at first, but has now become painful. I have taken advil for the pain, but I'm starting to get worried this maybe something severe. I don't have a primary care doctor anymore & It's the weekend. I'm 41 years old
