What Causes Pain On The Face?

I am having pain on the side of my face, at first I thought it was a toothache but the pain moves from one place to another. I just started wearing hearing aids so now I think it could be an ear infection. What would you suggest I do? Some people say it could be sinuses and to take a decongestant.
