What Causes Pain On The Left Side Of The Head?

For 4-5 days I have been getting headaches on the left front side off my head. Initially, I believe it was a migraine coming on, so I took one of my Naratriptan and slept for a few hours. It was gone when I woke, but a couple hours later I got a headache (not migraine) on the front left side of my head that keeps returning. Excedrin helps it, but within a few hours it returns. I also have some pressure in my sinus area, but my nose is not at all stuffy. Does this sound like cluster headaches, a sinus infection, or something else perhaps?

Hello,

Yes, a sinus infection can present you with the same symptoms where you get tenderness in some pressure points and due to infection, you will have little feverish, chills, cold, stuffy nose, et cetera.

All this can vary in an individual presentation. For these kinds of problems, I would recommend you to take antibiotics like Amoxicillin-Clavulanic Acid, Ampicillin, Ofloxacin or Levofloxacin for 5 to 7 days. You will have a complete cure of symptoms after a course of antibiotic.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
