What Causes Pain On The Left Side Of The Neck?

Two days ago I started having what I thought was a muscle pull on the left side of my neck. I thought maybe I slept funny. Now I have the same pain on the right side. It aches when I turn my head. No other symptoms. I stopped taking Celebrex last Monday because I am having surgery this Monday. Wondering if that has anything to do with it.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your symptoms most likely due to cervical muscle spasm. Consult primary care physician and undergo clinical examination to confirm it. Following treatment will be helpful.

Doctor will give following advises:

- Tablet Etoricoxib + Thiocolchicoside

- Tablet Ranitidine

- Application of Diclofenac (Volini) gel twice daily

- Warm pad application, Isometric neck exercise according to physiotherapist once pain will relieved.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Best regards,
Dr. Sagar
