What Causes Pain On The Right Side Of The Neck And Shoulder?

I have pain from the right side of my neck down into my shoulder. the pain radiates down in front and then back into my shoulder blade. this will happen for a few days and then disappear. I also have had a dry cough for several weeks that does not seem to go away. it is not all the time but several times throughout the day.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Cough and neck, shoulder pain are seen with lung pathology like infection, mass etc.
So better to get done chest x ray first.
If chest x ray is normal then no need to worry for lung diseases.
Musculoskeletal pain is more likely cause for your symptoms.
So take painkiller and muscle relaxant drugs.
Apply warm water pad on affected areas.
Avoid movements causing pain.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
