What Causes Pain On The Right Side Of The Rib Cage?

I have a constricting pain around the right side of my rib cage and on the right side of my upper back. I usually have back problems and I see a chiropractor at least once a week, but this pain just was sudden and I don t think I did anything to provoke it.

Hi,

Such pain on right side of rib cage can be due to liver problem (when you will also have nausea, lack of appetite & dark colored urine). The pain on right side of ribs & right upper back can follow thoracic vertebral/disc problem. You need to get detailed physical examination by a physician followed by imaging investigations if needed for pin pointing the cause followed by specific management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
