Hello dear user of HCM!
Thank you for your question!
I have understood your concerns you are describing in your query.
Basing on these symptoms I would say that this type of clinical view is found in
cervical spondylosis (or
neck arthritis).
The symptoms of this medical condition may be:
Neck pain or stiffness, shoulder or arm pain and numbness, headache,
dizziness, nausea and vomiting, imbalance problems etc.
But besides this condition, an inflammation of your cervical muscles, or a contracture of them from the bad sleep position may lead to these symptoms and its temporary and easily treated.
If I would be your primary doctor I would recommend you to go through a Spinal MRI or Xray to see if changes with your cervical vertebra have occurred. If yes you should
consult a rheumatologist to decide the type of treatment. It may be done by physical activity, by exercises, by medications and injections, or by surgery in advanced grades.
If no changes are found you may try using of non steroidal anti-inflammators like ibuprofen,
diclofenac etc, and any
muscle relaxant for a short period of time to get rid of pain and other complains.
So take care and all the best for you!
I wish you a good health!
DR ERIOL.
