What Causes Pain Radiating From The Upper To The Lower Back?

I am experience a lot of pain in my upper back radiating to my lower back, it is especially hurting me under my right beast. I went to the doctor and she stated I have a kidney stone, she gave me Flomax to help dissolve the stone and pain meds, I still hurt badly is there something else I can do?

Thanks for writing to Health Care magic, I am Dr , Muhammad Ahmad , I have read your question closely, I understand your concern and will be helping you with your health related problem.

There are steps to manage a kidney stone, first one tries out medication as your doctor did,
if medication doesn't help a person , specially in larger kidney stones then we look at two options, one is surgery and other is Lithotripsy which is breaking the stone with sound waves, I would suggest you to visit your doctor again after completing the dose and then discuss these options i have told you.
