What Causes Pain Radiating On Both Sides Of Face And Severe Headache?
Currently my husband has radiating pain in both sides of his face. Has a horrible headache, and an odd taste in his mouth. We need to know what could cause this?This past week he has been to ER on Labor Day with chills and joint pain, headache, shortness of breath (SOB)...etc. they did CT scan of his abd and a chest xray, lab work, and heart monitor...etc. All came back inconclusive. Sent him home on Augmentin. Went to PCP on Wed. still very sick , still has horrible headache, chills, and SOB. Ran flu test and it was neg. Dr. told him he must have some kind of virus to keep taking Augmentin. Recent med HX: has low testosterone, is a diabetic, has sleep apnea, very tired cannot get out of bed, sleeps 15-18 hours on weekends.

Firstly I w'd like to ask if his Thyroid profile test is done?If not I w'd suggest to get it done and discuss with nearby Physician, else you may discuss here too.
For face pain and headache I w'd suggest get an ENT specialist review ,as I am doubting he may have sinusitis problem,which needs to be ruled out also.
Until that I w'd like to advice steam inhalation,normal saline nasal drops and pain killer over the counter medicine.
From the history of sleep Apnea and Diabetes I w'd like to know more about weight and diet history so that I can help you out in lifestyle modification and nutrition tips to control diabetes and weight.
