Hi,
Your pain can be due to the following causes:
1)
Lumbar spondylosis leading to nerve compression causing pain
2) Sciatica
3) Piriformis syndrome
4) Pelvic masses causing nerve compression
5) Lumbosacral disc injury
6) Lumbosacral radiculopathy
7)
Sacroiliac joint injury
In order to evaluate and reach a definite diagnosis:
a) Thorough clinical examination
b) MRI scan if necessary
c) X-ray of the region
My advise is to consult an orthopedic or a
neurologist for proper evaluation and appropriate treatment. But until then, please consider the following medication to reduce pain:
1) Tab. Aceclofenac with
chlorzoxazone for pain relief and muscle relaxation to be taken twice daily. This is to be avoided if you have any kidney function abnormalities.
2) Tab. Pregabalin 75mg once daily at night.
3) Tab.
Pantoprazole 40 mg once daily before food.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
