What Causes Pain, Tenderness And Discomfort On The Left Side Of Upper Abdomen?

I have pain and discomfort on the left side of my upper abdomen Between my side and my front middle. It is tender to the touch and hurts when I turn a certain way. I have had some gall bladder issues but no pain... Just nausea and acid reflux ... Could this area be my gall bladder ?? Or is it the wrong side

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
I understand your concern.
The pain you have on left side of upper abdomen can be due to..indigestion,acidity, spleen swelling ( post viral fever, malaria )/ Weakness of bones( vitamin D,calcium deficiency, leading to pain at tip of 9th rib/ simple muscle pull following exertion/ spinal or disc problem at thoracic spinal level.
Consult your famoly physician . He will examine you, get you investigated as per need & treat you specifically/ refer you to concerned specialist if needful.
Thanks.
