Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am experiencing pain on the left side of my neck under the jaw. Not sure if it is related to a tooth problem or coming down from my ear or something else like virus. It sometimes hurts to swallow or turn my head to the left. The best I can descibe it is like a pulled muscle. Sometimes the pain is worse but goes away with Ibuprofen. Just noticed it coming on about three or for days ago. Just ant to make sure it isn t strep or something. Two people I live with have come down with nasty colds accompanied with fever, cough and diagnosis of strep. Maybe I am fighting this off and just dealing with inflammation?
Hi, from history it seems that you might be having upper respiratory tract infection giving rise enlarged, tender sub mandibular lymph node giving rise pain under the jaw or radiating pain in ear. Go for one antibiotic medicine like Azithromicin medicine for 3-5 days. Ok and take care.
