What Causes Pain Under Right Breast And Breathing Difficulty?
my 19 year old daughter is experiencing pain under right breast rib cage and it goes into her back. S was evaluated at our er 2 weeks ago and they called it pleuratic chest pain even though it wasn t in her chest. although she felt like she couldn t take a full breath. She was tod to take ibuprofen and discharged. they ran blood clot tests but it showed nothing. She is in agony. what can I do
Hello, Thanks for posting in HCM. Pain under right side ribcage can arise either from problem in right lower lung or it could be liver induced which causes pain in that region. Right now for her it will be advisable to get imaging studies like one chest x-ray so as to visualize for any pathology in lungs and also get an ultrasound of abdomen specifically to look at liver texture and the gall bladder. It would be beneficial if I came to know about some more facts like whether she has cough. Does the pain have any associations with food intake? I hope I answered your question satisfactorily. It would be helpful for me to guide you properly if you kindly write back to me. Otherwise consult your doctor with above said advice. Thank you.
