Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain Under The Breasts Upon Deep Breathing?
I have pain on right side under breast when I take a deep breath. I ve felt like I had a slight case of burning indigestion today with a feeling of being bloated. Often I have a fluttering on my left side, that I suspect is some sort of arrhythmia. I have had a normal ekg and have worn a heart monitor for 24 hours, although I had no symptoms the day I wore the heart monitor. My blood work came back normal. Should I be concerned?
If you feel bloating and your EKG plus blood reports back to normal then it might be due to acidity reflux in the stomach.
Other diagnoses for pain under right breast may be pleuritis that's inflammation of the chest cage layer beneath ribs. And some gallbladder stone may cause right side pain under the breast.
If pain continues for 5 days then consult your physician.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Nirav Nimavat, General & Family Physician
