What Causes Pain Under The Rib Cage After Taking Hydro Codeine?
Went to the ER and was given a round of antibiotics, hydro codeine for pain & nausea med and was sent home. I have an enlarged spleen I cant take a deep breath & have sharp stabbing pain under my left rib cage. I need to know the underlying condition casing this pain wbc13.2 , mch 27.4, palette 115. Bact TRC
How much big your spleen enlarged?? mild or moderate or severe??
Yes, splenomegaly may cause pain in the rib cage on left side.
Other possibilities like left plural effusion or pneumonia or muscle spasm or herpes zoster may present like this.
Please consult your physician he will do chest x-ray and ultrasound abdomen then treat you accordingly.
