What Causes Pain Under The Rib Cage On The Left Side?
I have a pain just under the left side front of my rib cage. It feels like a bulge and almost like a muscle. Sometimes if I sleep on my back I ll wake up hurting just under my rib cage. But today I noticed it has been herting just sitting. Could this be a hernia? Thank you, Dean Fairey
I would suggest to consult internal medicine specialist as early as possible and undergo clinical examination, blood tests (CBC, ESR, CRP, Amylase), chest X ray, USG scan and endoscopy if needed. Specific treatment will depend on the cause. Meanwhile take Tablet Ibuprofen. Apply Diclofenac gel, Tablet Pantoprazole before meal.
Take bed rest, and apply warm pad application. Take soft diet, avoid exertion, and take bed rest.
Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.
Best regards, Dr. Sagar
